Canceling an Order

If you have ordered Micro J products and subsequently decide to cancel your order, you must Fax or e-mail us and indicate your desire to cancel your order. If faxing, you must compose the letter on your corporate letterhead. If e-mailing, the e-mail must be sent by the person who placed the order and we must have your email address on record.

Keep in mind that you can cancel an order only prior to shipment from our offices. If you pay for your order with a credit card or a wire transfer, we typically ship immediately after the order is placed, so it is difficult to cancel an order that has been paid for using these payment options. If you have paid for your order using a check or a purchase order, you usually have a few days to cancel between the time you place the order and when it actually ships.

Return Policy

We do not accept returns on products that have been opened. Included with your software are two sealed packages that must be returned with the seals intact. The first is the package marked 'run-time licenses' and second is the package containing the CD. The entire shipment, including these sealed packages must be returned to Micro J within 90 days to qualify for a refund. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Our return policy only applies to products purchased directly through Micro J.

Lost Serial Numbers

If your company is on record as a registered owner of a Micro J product, you can obtain a list of your serial numbers by submitting a Serial Number Request Form.

Print the form on your company letterhead and fax it to us at 310-458-2177. These requests typically take 1 to 2 hours during normal business hours.

You have the following payment options when purchasing products directly from Micro J:

Credit Card

We accept the following credit cards:

Please note that when you purchase products and upgrades directly from Micro J and pay with a credit card, the order is immediately filled and shipped. Therefore, if you need to cancel a credit card order, please do so as soon as possible.

Refunds applied to credit cards are not posted by your credit card company instantaneously. The refund may not appear on your statement until 30 - 60 days following the transaction.

Check

If you're paying with a check (U.S. funds only), we will not ship your order until payment is received. Your address and order number must appear on the check.

Leasing

Micro J works with several financing companies that allow you to lease or finance the software. You can also finance the cost of training and other items at the same time. The following is a contact for your reference:

Wire Transfer

You can pay for Micro J products with a wire transfer (U.S. funds only). The order number must be included with your wire transaction. Your order number is given to you when you place the order.

Shipping Options

Airborne Express second-day delivery is the standard shipping option within the United States. You can specify overnight or Saturday delivery when you place your order if you're willing to pay a higher rate.

Ordering Replacements

If you are the registered owner of a Micro J product, you are eligible to order replacements for lost, stolen, or damaged disks. Replacements usually are available only for the current version of a product.

Current Version

If you have lost or misplaced your program disks for a current version of a Micro J product, and you know the serial number(s) of the original product, we will replace them for $50 plus tax.

If you can't provide the serial number(s) please be prepared to show one of the following:

  1. A copy of the paid invoice reflecting the charges for the original product
  2. A copy of the credit card statement reflecting the charges for the original product
  3. A copy of the canceled check

Note: There is an additional $10 charge for overnight delivery and $20 for Saturday delivery.

Older Versions

Replacement program disks are only available for the current version of a Micro J Product. If you are seeking a replacement for an older version, please contact the Micro J customer service department at 800-995-4868.

Discontinued Versions

We no longer support versions prior to v5.5 and do not have these available for re-order or download. You, of course, have the option to upgrade to the latest released version.

Updating or Transferring Ownership

It is important that you provide Micro J with up-to-date ownership information about your Micro J products. Incorrect information may affect your ability to receive upgrades, technical support, and other ownership benefits.

Updating Information

Please notify us if you've changed your address or phone number. Ownership information may also need to be updated if, for example, the person designated as the primary product contact within your company leaves or if your company name changes. An online form is available for updating your contact information.

Transferring Ownership

Micro J permits a one-time, permanent transfer of the software, which requires the express written permission of Micro J. The assignment of the license must include a transfer of all software and licenses (including component parts, the media and printed matter, any upgrades, and a copy of the Licensing Agreement). The party to whom the license is being assigned must agree to accept all of the terms and conditions of the license agreement, including the restriction that they may not further assign the license and software. The transfer of possession terminates the assigning party's license once the transfer has been completed.

Please note that there are no fees or charges associated with updating information or transferring licenses. To transfer a license, we must receive information and completed transfer documentation. Incomplete information or discrepancies may result in denial of the transfer request.

Requests for transfers that are the result of mergers, acquisitions, etc., are permitted and may not be subject to the one-time transfer limitation described above. Contact Micro J for more information.
